Hello everyone, and a warm welcome to my blog!

I’m Viki Farkas, a fine art and portrait photographer. Many of you might already know me through my images, but today I want to take you behind the lens and share my story: where I started, what inspires me, and how we can become creative partners in capturing your moments. This past year has been all about complete renewal for me, and I’m bursting with new plans.
Where It All Began: The Lights of New York

My passion for photography truly blossomed five years ago in the vibrant, pulse-pounding, and endlessly inspiring environment of New York City. It was there, in the shadow of skyscrapers and amidst the artistic hustle of the streets, that I first picked up a professional camera. The city’s energy taught me that beauty is everywhere—in an honest smile, a fleeting moment, or the delicate play of light and shadow. This perspective became the foundation of my love for fine art and portrait photography.

I consider myself incredibly lucky because my journey led me to fantastic mentors, such as Norbert Bánhalmi, who provided immense help during my first steps.
I will never forget our joint photoshoot at Times Square, joined by the two fantastic hosts of the M.Ó.K.A. podcast, Attila Patkós and Péter Sizare. I had the honor of giving my very first interview to them, sharing the story of how I transitioned from an office career to life as a photographer.

A Dream Come True: My Visual Autobiography
For me, photography is not just a job; it’s a journey filled with unforgettable moments. One of my proudest achievements was undoubtedly seeing one of my images projected every hour for an entire day on a giant billboard in Times Square. Seeing my work in one of the world’s most iconic locations was an incredible feeling and reaffirmed my belief in the true power of images.

My work has since traveled the globe. My photos have been exhibited in cities like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, South Africa, Spain, India, and Budapest. You can find a growing list of my most important features under the Publications menu on my website.

Another dream became a reality in May 2024: the release of my visual autobiography titled "Lens and Life." This book tells my story through 100 of my favorite black-and-white photographs. I am incredibly grateful that over 200 international platforms published articles about the book’s release. If you’d like to own a piece of my world, the English edition is available on Amazon.
Although my story began in America, I am currently living and creating in Europe, with my main base in Budapest, Hungary. However, distance is never an obstacle!
Whether it’s a portrait session in Italy,

a creative couple’s shoot in Barcelona,

or an intimate wedding anywhere across the continent, I am always happy to travel to capture your most important moments.

If you are looking for an on-location photoshoot with a unique, artistic approach, feel free to reach out! My goal is not just to take pictures, but to create memories that preserve your personality and story forever.

One of my most memorable fashion shoots was with the brand CapBali on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Those images are still featured in shop windows and on gallery walls today. Click here for the video.
